Arturo Vidal and Kingsley Coman both scored their first Bundesliga goals for Bayern Munich as they cruised to a comfortable 3-0 over newly promoted side Darmstadt. The home team took the lead through Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal as he fired from long range 20 minutes into the game. Young Coman was handed his first start as Pep Guardiola shuffled his team in a bid to rest his key players for their Tuesday match against Wolfsburg. The 19 years old thanked his coach for the opportunity with a goal just seventeen minutes into the second half of the game. Sebastian Rode who was involved in Coman’s goal also got one for himself later in the game to complete the goal scoring on Saturday afternoon. The win took Bayern to 15 points from five games and saw them maintain their 100 percent start to the season.

Vidal had the first attempt of the game after he was played in by Coman but he saw his effort wide off the post. Douglas Costa then hit the side netting with a free kick before handing Vidal the ball to open the scoring for the hosts in the 20th minute of the game. Darmstadt tried to get back into the game but were denied by Manuel Neuer before Marcel Heller missed a good chance to draw level for his team. Pep Guardiola’s team continued to dominate possession in the second half of the game and they were rewarded when Sebastian Rode set up Coman to finish from close range. Bayern got their third almost immediately as Rode went solo and converted from close range too after seeing his initial effort come off the post. This ended the pursuit for Darmstadt but their performance in the game showed better days would come soon for the newly promoted side.
