• Costa misses game at Leicester after clash with fitness coach
• Chelsea will refuse to sell their top scorer
Diego Costa has been dropped from the Chelsea squad for Saturday’s Premier League fixture at Leicester City, after a row that involves a massive offer made to him from a club in the Chinese Super League.
The volatile striker has also clashed with one of the Chelsea fitness coaches over an injury that he feels he has been carrying, and he did not travel to Leicester with his team-mates on Friday. Costa has not trained fully this week and the manager, Antonio Conte, has become involved in the argument.
• Lens reportedly said relegation may help hasten move to Fenerbahce
• ‘It’s disgracefully disrespectful,’ says Moyes of loan player’s comments
David Moyes has branded Jeremain Lens “disgracefully disrespectful” after the Sunderland winger, on a season’s loan at Fenerbahce, was quoted as saying he hoped his parent club would get relegated.
The Holland international, previously with PSV Eindhoven and Dynamo Kyiv, was quoted in the Turkish media suggesting that Sunderland dropping into the Championship might help facilitate his ambition of a permanent move to the Istanbul club.
Only Chelsea and Tottenham have won more league games at home this season than Burnley so Southampton face a tall order at Turf Moor, especially as Claude Puel’s side are still struggling in front of goal. Former Burnley player Jay Rodriguez will be hoping to put that right to end a miserable run of three consecutive league defeats. Graham Searles

TOTTENHAM TEAM NEWS & PREVIEW
Tottenham host West Brom on Saturday, with the north London club looking to make it six wins in a row in the Premier League.
Spurs are on a great run at the moment, and are firmly into the title race. They are third in the league with 42 points, seven behind Chelsea, and will be looking to reduce the gap between them.
The improvement in results has coincided with the return to form of Dele Alli. The England midfielder has scored six goals in his last three games, including a brace against the leaders Chelsea in Spurs’s last Premier League game.
Mauricio Pochettino is likely to make changes in the side that won 2-0 against Aston Villa in the FA Cup last Sunday, with the likes of Jan Vertonghen, Danny Rose, Kyle Walker and Harry Kane being expected to start.
Erik Lamela is still recovering from a hip problem. He is unlikely to play against the Baggies.
Predicted Tottenham Starting Lineup (3-4-2-1): Lloris, Dier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Walker, Wanyama, Dembele, Rose, Alli, Eriksen, Kane
WEST BROM TEAM NEWS & PREVIEW
West Brom have recovered well after their back to back defeats against Manchester United and Arsenal with two straight wins in the Premier League.
The Baggies have lost four away games already, and need to improve that record. However, they have a good record against Spurs, having lost just once in their last seven meetings.
Saido Berahino has returned to fitness but it remains to be seen whether he features in the starting XI as he is way short of match fitness. Jonny Evans will miss out on this game for the Baggies. Chris Brunt will be assessed closer to kick off.
Predicted West Brom Starting Lineup (4-2-3-1): Foster, Galloway, Olsson, McAuley, Dawson, Yacob, Fletcher, Phillips, Morrison, Chadli, Rondon
TOTTENHAM VS WEST BROM KEY STATS

TOTTENHAM VS WEST BROM BETTING TIPS
Spurs are on a great run at the moment, and they are favourites to win the game. It should be a tight game, but bet on them to win on Saturday.

TOTTENHAM VS WEST BROM PREDICTION
West Brom are a well organised side, and they will be looking to frustrate the home side with defensive tactics. Tottenham boast of the second best home record in the division, and a home victory is the most likely outcome.

• Gabriel Jesus’s registration at the Football Association not complete
• Vincent Kompany could play at Everton after two months out
Gabriel Jesus must continue to wait for his Manchester City debut but Vincent Kompany could return at Everton on Sunday. Jesus officially joined City from Palmeiras this month but his registration has not yet gone through.
“He cannot play – papers,” Pep Guardiola said of the 19-year-old Brazil international. “When Palmeiras and the FA solve the problems he will be able to play.” Most of the paperwork has been done and City are confident the remainder will be completed soon, meaning Jesus could be available to face Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League next weekend. The issue may not have overly concerned Guardiola this week, however, with the manager having said the forward needs to build up match fitness in training.
