Pep Guardiola is noted as one hell of a coach. He was the coach that swept the boards during his days at Barcelona. On moving to Bayern Munich, he has been performing wonders ever since, with his team scoring a lot of goals, especially in this champions league. Bayern is even touted to be one of the favourites for the champions league trophy.

There have been insinuations that this phenomenal coach might be coming over to the Etihad stadium. Guardiola’s deal with Bayern is to come to an end by the end of this season. Till date, no agreement has been reached on whether or not he would be staying at Bayern.

This has made a lot of people to guess that he would be leaving Bayern Munich at the end of the season. There are reports that Guardiola is into an oral agreement to take over at Manchester City, replacing present coach Manuel Pellegrini as the head coach.

Due to the speculation of Guardiola leaving, Jurgen Klopp has been asked to be patient in order to get the Bayern Job. This was said by a former Brazilian International, Giovani Elber. Klopp, who is set on taking over at Liverpool as Brendan Rodgers has been sacked, is seen by Elber as the best choice for Bayern Munich.

The arrival of Guardiola to City would be welcome. However, this would be dependent on a lot of factors. For example, City might not let go of Pellegrini if he can take the team to great heights this season. This could be in the form of winning the premier league and going far in the champions league. Guardiola’s leaving of Bayern might not be so easy as the club would fight tooth and nail to keep him.

In all, we should and watch to see how all this would eventually pan out.

Manchester city started the English Premier League well. Their first five games were all wins for them. They also did not concede any goal of sort. However, this was not to last. Earlier this week, in the UEFA champions league, City’s good start to the season was destroyed as they Lost 2-1 to Juventus on Tuesday.
Although City lost in the Champions League, they were still unbeaten in the Premier League. One would expect that City would continue its unbeaten streak in the premier league. This turned out not to be the case. City lost 2 goals to 1 to Westham at the Etihad this Saturday. It took less than 31 minutes for Westham to find that Chink in City’s armour.
About 5 minutes into the game, Victor Moses put in the lead for Westham through a shot fired from 25 yards. The second goal came from a corner kick as Diafra Sakho scored from a rebound ball. City later got one up in the person of De Bruyne who scored his first goal for Manchester City. The goal was also a shot from 25 yards out.
City played without Da Silva who had a calf injury during the warm up. Perhaps, the presence of Silva could have added some edge to city’s attack. After the match, Pellegrini decided not to take Silva’s absence as an excuse. De Bruyne also performed well on his full debut for city, however his performance didn’t elicit praise from Pellegrini who lamented that although he scored, the main thing was that City didn’t win the game.
Westham’s boss, Slaven Bilic was understandably elated during the post match conference. Westham has won all three of their away games this season. The other two were at Anfield and Emirates. This has been their best start to the season in a while.
In all, it seems it that its too much to ask for City to maintain their invincibility for so long. We all hope they improve their consistency.
